Scrap Tire Disposal Event The Adams-Clermont Solid Waste District will
be
hosting a scrap tire collection event on Friday, Sept. 8, and
Saturday, Sept. 9,
at the Clermont County Fairgrounds in Owensville. Hours of
operation will be
8 a.m.-2 p.m. on both days.

Flyer.
IMPORTANT: The Batavia Township Trustees asked for bids
to provide a waste and recycling franchise for residents in
Batavia Township resulting in reduced costs and more
services.
Bids were thoroughly reviewed in June and the Township
awarded the contract to Republic Services. Beginning
October 1, 2018, Republic Services will be the exclusive
provider for residential recycling and trash services.

- It appears we are being visited by raccoons and
they know how to get
in and out of our garbage toters. A 24" bungee cord
seems to work to
prevent them from getting in to the garbage. This link

- You may have noticed the shrubs have been removed
around the
entrance monument on the south side of Winter Holly. This is
the
first step in renovating that area. Appropriate plants will
be installed
as weather conditions permit. Until that time, the area will remain
mulched and weeds
sprayed as necessary.

- No Parking signs are up on the South side of
Cristata Ct. Why the
South side when it was supposed to the the North? Well,
there were
only fire hydrants at each end of the street, so the township looked
at
the aerial and saw the South had more driveways (less parking) and
felt having cars parked on the South side would be more of a hindrance
for
fire trucks. So they switched it up on us. Here is an
aerial view of
the street. If this would have changed the signing of
the petition,
email
us. We'll take action if enough people wish to retract
their signature.
Petition statistics: 13 out of 16 residents signed the
petition, 2 could not
be reached with several attempts, and 1 was undecided.

sweat, 51 bags of mulch,
and 2 flats of flowers. Thanks to all those that helped.
It looks great.
Power for the lighting will be restored Monday. We'll look at
